India has a long way to go... TRAI defines "broadband" as 256 kbps and above. Indian ISP's have data-transfer based plans, time based plans, prepaid plans, and then finally the most expensive unlimited plans.Compare this to what's available in countries like Singapore and America, where broadband is a minimum of 2-5 Mbps, and most home broadband plans are 10 Mbps or more. Even 100 Mbps is available for those who can afford, and 1 Gbps is coming soon!In such countries, all plans (I say that again, ALL plans) are fully unlimited, so a data-transfer based plan or time-based plan is simply something unimaginable in these countries.Really, India is still backward by 10 years in Internet technology.
